Kick off the open water season with a fun-filled swim & paddle adventure on the beautiful South River: Sunday, May 25th!
EVENT DESCRIPTION
Embark on an Aquatic Adventure with Friends!
Join us for the Bridge2Bridge Pod Swim, an exhilarating non-competitive 3.5 mile swim and paddle event.
On Sunday, May 25th, gather your friends and family for a day of excitement on the South River! The water is typically just warming up and ranges in the 60โs with many participants enjoying wetsuits.
Come out as a โPaddle Onlyโ participant or form a Swim Pod of 2 to 4 swimmers to splash it up in the South River! Pods navigate the scenic river from the Riva Bridge to Solomons Bridge and back as a pod/team. Relay Pods take turns acting as support paddler for the pod using a paddle board and either standing on it or sitting with a kayak paddle. Solo Pods are comprised of similarly speeded swimmers desiring to swim the entire distance without paddling. Solo Pods will bring a dedicated support paddler or pay and additional fee to have a paddler provided. Although boats can be provided, participants are encouraged to source their own and will receive a $30 credit to their account for future program use.
Customize your pod's strategy to maximize fun and enjoy the scenery while building lasting memories together! Not quite ready to commit to the 3.5 mile adventure? Join swimmers wanting to stay closer to shore with a lifeguard supported 1/2 mile loop after the main event is underway!
