Level Descriptions*-

*exceptions may be made to placement criteria with coaches approval

Level 1: Stroke Development 1 is appropriate for swimmers ages 5-9 who want to work on improving all four strokes. Swimmers should be able to swim at least 25 yards freestyle and 25 yards backstroke. This group will work on stroke mechanics of all four strokes, as well as water feel and buoyancy. Stroke Development is focused on refining the details of all of the strokes, including how swimmers leave the wall and starting blocks.

This is a program that utilizes many drills and drill progressions. It is important that kids build habits that promote efficiency and speed.

Level 2 Beginner: Stroke Development 2 is appropriate for swimmers age 7-10 who want to work on refining all four strokes, as well as improve their endurance through developing a more efficient stroke. Swimmers should be able to swim at least 50 yards freestyle, 25 yards backstroke and have a working knowledge of butterfly and breaststroke. This group will help swimmers improve their endurance through drills that improve the efficiency of the strokes.

Level 2 Advanced: Stroke Development 2 Advanced is appropriate for swimmers age 7+ who want to refine all four strokes, as well as improve their endurance through developing more efficient stroke mechanics. Swimmers should be able to swim a legal 100 IM.

Adult Fitness: Adult Fitness class is appropriate for swimmers age 14 and over who want to swim for fun & fitness! Participants will gain working knowledge of all (4) strokes and practice building lap swimming and recovery habits to feel confident in the water! This group will help swimmers improve their endurance and enjoy the water.

This is not a beginner learn to swim class. This class is appropriate for swimmers who have a basic to intermediate understanding of stroke mechanics and can cross the pool independently. More advanced participants should consider either the Adult Competitive or Sunday morning Performance Training Program.

Adult Competitive: Adult Competitive class is for participants who want to refine their strokes and training habits for improved performance in races. This class requires swim competency and coaches work on helping you reach your unique competitive swim goals either for pool or open water races.
