Meet the Coach
Kelly Boring
Coach Kelly has been swimming since she joined a summer league team at age 5. She competed for and graduated from the US Naval Academy, earning NCAA Div II All American Honors. After two deployments as a Navy Pilot, she returned to USNA in 2000 to teach swimming to the midshipmen. It was then that she started her coaching career with the Naval Academy Aquatic Club.
She has coached all ages and abilities, including three years in the Virgin Islands. She also developed and led dryland training programs for both NAAC and the St. Croix Dolphins. She has been a Pilates Instructor for almost 20 years and is currently the Head Swim Coach at Indian Creek HS in Crownsville, MD. She has completed several 5 and 2 mile open water races in St Croix, USVI, and one 4.4 Chesapeake Bay swim.
Coach Kelly believes swimmers succeed best when they enjoy the process. She loves to see when swimmers progress technically and continue to find joy in the water.
