Dive into Confidence with our Adult Lesson Program

Our Adult Swim program at the North Arundel Aquatic Center is designed for individuals of all skill levels—from beginners to advanced.

Generally classes meet once a week for (8) weeks. Each class focuses on safety, skill development, and fostering a love for swimming in a supportive and friendly environment.

Our experienced instructors are dedicated to guiding you through your swimming journey, helping you build confidence and competence in the water.

Coaches also offer seasonal 1:1 lessons from April - October. We can come to your residential or community pool or host you at our open water venue on the South River. Email us for more details.

SCHEDULE & PRICING

Swim Lessons for Adults

8-week sessions are held at the North Arundel Aquatic Center in Glen Burnie, a premier location equipped with outstanding facilities for swimmer development.

  • Thursdays ‍

    Adult Fitness: 6:15 - 7 PM

    Participants should bring swim cap, goggles and towel. All other equipment needs will be provided or guided by coach input upon meeting.

Adult Fitness: Adult Fitness class is appropriate for swimmers age 14+ and over who want to swim for fun & fitness! Participants will gain working knowledge of all (4) strokes and practice building lap swimming and recovery habits to feel confident in the water! This group will help swimmers improve their endurance and enjoy the water.

This is not a complete beginner learn to swim class. This class is appropriate for swimmers who have a basic to intermediate understanding of stroke mechanics and can cross the pool independently. More advanced participants should consider either the Wednesday and/or Sunday Film & Feedback sessions.

  • This program is perfect for adults from beginner to intermediate in their swimming abilities. It is also appropriate for teens with the maturity to be in a learning environment with adults.

  • Swimmers should wear a swimsuit and bring goggles and towel. Any additional training aids will be provided.

  • We understand that life happens! Makeup classes may be available, so please speak with your instructor for options.

  • The program is open to ages 14 & over.
